Maes y Castell Hut Circles
Maes y Castell Hut Circles submitted by aconitum-napellus : Hut circle 1, south west side of the enclosure. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Ancient Village or Settlement in Conwy. Two hut circles in a small enclosure on private land, very boggy, next to a modern farmyard. No public access although a footpath passes nearby. The circles are clearly visible as rings on the ground, standing proud of the land around, and seem to be composed of stones covered in turf. Access is only with permission of the farmer, and through ankle deep marsh.
