Natural Stone / Erratic / Other Natural Feature in Ceredigion

The Devil's Punchbowl is a spot on the Afon Mynach, the water has worn smooth sided barrels of rock which the river rushes and swirls through. High above the tight gorge are the three stacked bridges of Devil's bridge. On the other side of the bridge the river plunges 90m (approx) over five separate waterfalls, making it one of the biggest falls in Wales. It is definitely the most beautiful falls in Wales. Kerb circles and forts are very nearby, but right here nature is the focal point.

Devil's Punch Bowl submitted by Postman : This small village with its picturesque waterfall takes its name from the bottom-most of three bridges over the river Mynach which were incrementally built on top of each other. Local legend has it that the Devil built this bridge in a single night, having entered into a bet with an old woman whose valuable cow was stranded on the opposite bank of the river.
