Ancient Village or Settlement in Gwynedd

Situated to the south of the narrow gated road that leads from Bronaber, off the A470 to Llanuwchllyn this is a multi-period settlement site. The earliest structures are Iron Age hut circles. There are five hut circles that have been recorded and given scheduled monument status. The hut circles are visible as low earth and stone banks raised on platforms. The huts vary in diameter with the largest having a 6m interior diameter. The hut circles are located on the western side of the Afon Lliw. The eastern side of Afon Lliw contains the better preserved remains of a medieval settlement.

This is a very scenic environment with extended views across the valley and of the surrounding mountains.
