Marker Stone in Totnes, Devon. set into the pavement opposite Atherton Lane. (Nos 51/53 Fore Street) The stone features in legend as the place where Brutus the Trojan, founder of the British people, first stepped ashore.

Historic England say: "Worn top of granite monolith set in pavement. Commemorated in local legend and the gathering place for civic ceremonies. Before the raising of the street level, an important topographical landmark of the Anglo-Saxon and Medieval town, which may have marked the meting place of the Saxon witan or council of Totnes."

It's a listed building as I suppose no one would have it as a true ancient monument. (it's not)
