There are house bricks loose around the base, which were also mentioned on the Modern Antiquarian site by a visitor in 2001. They have no apparent function.
The stone is very easy to find, to the left of the track that leads from the old mountain road from Rhayader to Aberystwyth, a short and very easy walk with space to park just off road.
