Mynydd Y Gelli submitted by Bladup : Mynydd y Gelli Stone Circle. The Stonehenge of South Wales indeed, the circle is in the middle of the photo, there seems to be a slight bank going around the site, The stones at the bottom of the photo may also be part of the site. Stone Circle in Mid Glamorgan (Rhondda Cynon Taff)

(This site is just behind where I live so I've been there a few times). The site is basically a field full of stones with the remnants of modern shepherd's huts field clearance piles mixed in with the remnants of bronze age cairns. It also has the dubious honour of being right next to a landfill site filled with toxic waste.

Sometimes called the ‘Welsh Stonehenge’, according to Burl, Mynydd Y Gelli is a well-preserved embanked stone circle, which may once have had 15 stones. A possible outlier lies to the south.
