Glan Hafon cairn
Glan Hafon cairn submitted by postman : Craig Rhiwarth echoes the central boulder. (Vote or comment on this photo)
The cairn occupies a prominent position on a saddle between two hills, Glan Hafon itself and Garnedd wen, right under Garnedd Wen are more cairns, mostly clearance. Coflein says only this about this enigmatic cairn: "Stone built circular kerbed cairn with large, probably natural, boulder in the center"

Probably natural but then possibly not. A boulder burial ? where would the interment be under the boulder or in the rather small ring cairn round it ?

Sublime views down to the Tannat valley and over to Craig Rhiwarth with the big barrow Bedd Crynddyn to the west.
