Holy Well or Sacred Spring in Denbighshire (Sir Ddinbych).
Ffynnon Cynhafel is located on private land about 500 metres north of Llangynhafal Church which is dedicated to St Cynhafal a 7th century missionary monk.

This well had a reputation for healing warts which were pricked with a pin which was then thrown into the water with a prayer to St Cynhafal requesting a cure …. the warts should disappear shortly after and several cures have been authenticated in recent times. The owner of the well told us that the water used to be used for baptism and in years past busloads of people used to visit.
