Carneddi Llwydion
Carneddi Llwydion submitted by Robc : These Two Bronze Age Round Cairns stand on the hills above Senghenydd near Caerphilly. Each consist of rounded stones each with a low central mound and surrounding bank. The area has several cairns. The Fynnon Du standing stones are also near. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Two cairns each with a central mound and surrounding bank and both built of round stones. The first at ST10519200 is 15.2m in diameter and about 0.6m high at the centre with a rim 1.5 - 1.8m wide. The second at ST10539204 is of similar form to the first with a 17.1m diameter, 0.9m high at the centre and a 2.1 - 2.8m rim.
