Holy Well or Sacred Spring in Powys

St Mary's Well, on the north side of the churchyard, down steps. Believed to have been healing as recently as 1910, the well fell into disuse, and was reconstructed in 1990. Lovely peaceful spot.

I would have given this a 5 on ambience - but litter had been dropped in the well, which I could not retrieve as the entrance to the well is obstructed by cotoneaster (I think) overgrowth. There was also an inebriate lurking around, very curious about this strange bloke photographing the church, yews, and well.
