Cerrig Gwynion (Wrexham) submitted by FredDibner : On private land, this hillfort is well protected and rarely visited. It's better preserved than I first thought, with some clear and high sections of rampart. (Vote or comment on this photo)

Nick, have you asked anyone yet? I've not been dealing with your pic, but it hasn't been put through yet. It's not deleted, I guess it's hanging on due to it coming from a publication and possible copyright issues. Cheers, Tim.

I did ask ,and no-one said a word!!! It's really no big deal, the scan isn't that marvelous anyway. If there is a problem with copyright, then don't put it on! ( I just notice that there newspaper scans from the 'Independent' and a French newspaper(in Aquitaine photos)in other sections on this website.

My scan is from a booklet produced by the Clwyd County Council 22 years ago..... (Clwyd no longer exists -sadly, in my opinion, and the hillfort resides within an area or "county" called "Wrexham", which is of course a town, and not really the Ceiriog valley!!!!) I think copyright is probably less of a problem, in this case, the publisher {Clwyd CC}has long disappeared, and few of the booklets were probably published.......... I'm not sure of course!
