The megalithic necropolis of Panoria was discovered in 2012. It consists of at least 19 graves, all are essentially polygonal or rectangular burial chambers built with large stone slabs that are accessible via short and narrow aisles. 5 of these were excavated in 2015 by the GEA Research Group (Department of Prehistory and Archeology at the University of Granada).

4 of the 5 dolmen are within 25 m of each other. The graves appear to be partially buried in the subsoil so that only the upper parts of the plates protrude. According to geoarchaeological characterization studies, all stone slabs come from nodular limestone known as Ammonitico Rosso, found in the area of the necropolis.

Located in the foothills of the hill that gives it its name, a hill that belongs to the easternmost tip of the Sierra Harana on the southeast side, 1.5 km north from the city of Darro.
