Roundstone Wood
Roundstone Wood submitted by Andy B : Imaginary site in South Glamorgan Wales Torchwood screen cap copyright BBC, with thanks to Chuck from http://www.doctorwholocations.net (Vote or comment on this photo)
Fictional Stone Circle in Wales. A stone circle featured in the fifth episode of 'Doctor Who for adults' spin-off drama series Torchwood. The episode Small Worlds was first shown on Nov 12th 2006. The circle is supposedly situated in equally fictional Roundstone Wood where an old lady sees fairies that turn out to be a good deal more sinister.

The fictional school featured in the episode is even called Coed y Carreg! (Wood of the Circle).

The stone circle looks fake as the edges on the stones look too sharp. I've put as a grid reference the location of the Wales Millenium Centre as it seemed most appropriate, but there is of course no stone circle there, just a time rift!

Re: Torchwood Circle & Fairies by Anonymous on Monday, 16 August 2010
I noted that you said you wanted a screen grab so I've
attached a closer one of the "circle" from the first scene.

The wood location is one of those we haven't tracked down yet, though we
suspect that it's either near the house used in Pentrych, or one of
their usual haunts like Forest Fawr. Streetview isn't too helpful in
those situations :)

Hope the screencap is okay for you.

Best Wishes,
Chuck
