Druidstone (Michaelstone) submitted by Andy B : Photo from Maillard: The stone is in the grounds of Druidstone house. We parked in the car park by the main house. The stone can be found through a gate, with a sign saying private track & mentioning St Bernards loose, (we didn't see any!) It is beside the first cottage under some trees, & is a large female lozenge stone. (Vote or comment on this photo)

Thank you, that's now sorted. Do you have any photos of the Welsh stone you could post?

Cheers

Re: Druidstone by Anonymous on Sunday, 08 July 2007
dear Megalithic Portal, I'm afraid there's some confusion about this site. The map ref. is correct for the Druidstone in the grounds of Druidstone House, Michaelstone, between Newport & Cardiff, but the pictures posted by Vicky are definitely not this stone. Possibly you're confusing it with a stone in Aberdeenshire as that comes up when you click on the picture & then on 'main site page' link, which produces the same picture with Scottish references on it. We recently visited the stone which is a single large feminine lozenge shaped stone (not a stone circle) located next to a cottage.
