St Paul's church in Pentre Broughton, Flintshire is located on the east side of Bryn y Gaer Road in a large churchyard used, and extended, as a cemetery. It was built in 1888. Within the village of Pentre Broughton are the sparse remains of a univallate hillfort (PRN 100385) set on the lip of a steep slope. Now known as Bryn Y Gaer it was termed Caer Inharwood in 1740. A trial excavation in 1973 revealed some information about the construction of the rampart.
