Birkenhead Park is the oldest urban park in the world, forming the template for Central Park in New York. However, it appears to have been constructed on several neolithic burial mounds which were popular for Easter Egg hunting in time immemorial, and were razed wholesale by the council at the time. It may be worth cross referencing with historical records to see if any artefacts were found at the time.
