The tumulus is 4 m high with a perimeter of 120 m. It contains a dolmen built in dry stones preceded by a corridor (4.40 m long, 0.80 m wide on average) covered with four slabs. The chamber (diameter 3.30 m) was covered by a corbelled vault which collapsed. The whole is covered with a cairn (3.50 m high, 25 m in diameter) made up of small stones, the whole being covered with light gray clay2.
During excavations in 1899, the chamber was discovered untouched by A. Martin. A skeleton of a 13 to 14 year old teenager was found. The body was surrounded by several tools in polished flint and schist, an almond-shaped pebble, a polished dolerite axe, a polished stone bead, and two vases.
