The site consists of a large wall, possible stone alighnments and a possible propped stone. A difficult site to interpret, but not unlike several other 'potential' ancient sites in Cumbria.
I was told about it buy a guy who calls himself David Map Urien, apparently his amateur archaeologist friend named the site Mêni Arthur, because mêni is the Old Cumbric for 'stones', and given that the mountain opposite is named Stone Arthur, they believe there are Celtic connections to the area, at least in more recent times. So it was thought appropriate to name the site in this language.
