Prehistoric site in Portugal

A site recently recognized as attesting a "pre-Portuguese" (pre-15th century) human presence on Terceira, Azores Islands.
Classified “Archaeological Site of Grota do Medo" in 2012.

This discovery, seemingly first published in the early 2010's, was at first much debated because it cast a new light on the human occupation of (some of) the Azores islands.
Traditionally, Terceira was discovered by Portuguese navigators in 1445 (and thus named because it was the 3rd island of the archipelago to be spotted) -- however, for a more detailed account, see paragraph "History" on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terceira_Island .

The site comprises a cave, cup-marks, engravings : see point 3 of the first source.

Coordinates are approximate, and derived from these publications.
