    Yeah, back when 'Alligator' offered us use of his Pictish Stones database, I wanted to get the site descriptions handed over to post here along with the locations, but no, Alligator wanted to keep them linked to his site so they could be kept updated.

    Fair enough, but killing the links a few years later in favour of a new site format over at Archaeoptics is not really cricket is it. We're now left with several hundred dead links - thanks Alligator.

    According to Google the 'Digital ECMS' is now housed at http://ecms.archaeoptics.co.uk/entry.html but it's not currently responding.

    This is what it used to look like.

    It's a shame when people lose interest in things isn't it. Hopefully the Portal will never go that way.
