AJHL visited on 1st Jan 2023 - their rating: Cond: 3 Amb: 4 Access: 4 It’s still there on the left side of the track (the down side of you are walking towards wellbrook cottage) They have put a pumping house and water treatment shed almost on top of it, but it’s still viewable from the platform next to the shed.

Peterchurch St Peter's Well
Peterchurch St Peter's Well submitted by AJHL : St Peter’s Well. Although the information sign suggests the stone head is probably Celtic and predates the Christian adoption of the site. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Although still marked on the OS map the well has now been tanked and the delightful bathing pool used by rheumatics shown in Leather’s Folklore of Herefordshire has been filled with concrete. All that can be seen is the head of (possibly) St Peter peering from the undergrowth. The information sign suggests the stone head is probably Celtic and predates the Christian adoption of the site.

What is left can be found off the Madley Road just beyond Wellbrook and then located beside the footpath and tack to The Wells Cottage.
