A 6.3 metre tall granite menhir standing at the edge of the road near to the hamlet of Bayo, 3 km southwest of Ploeuc-sur-Lie. About 100 metres to the east from this, is a second granite menhir, length about 5 metres, which has fallen and is lying in the hedge bank.

Menhir du Bayo
Menhir du Bayo submitted by JohnGinny : The roadside view of this 6 meter high menhir, which is made of the local granite from the Moncontour massif. Unusually it is set in the bank and the road runs by the base of the stone. Somewhat difficult to find, hidden down a network of tiny lanes that lead to farms, the only clue to its presence is a roadside cross on the slightly larger road nearby. Menhir du Bayo submitted by hjdelooff : Another photo showing the size of the Bayo Menhir. The guy in the Jack Daniels shirt is me.. I'm almost 1.9 metres long (6,23 ft) So the menhir is really very large (size xxxl :-))
