Dabshead Hill

Dabshead Hill is located to the north of Edgarhope wood N of Lauder in the Scottish borders.

At its centre is a triangulation point and a standing stone. There is also a hill fort there. The fort's ramparts are well-preserved and in places the stone used to construct them can be seen weathering out.

The "standing stone" was apparently erected in (?) 1897 to commerorate the marriage of Countess Meath probably using stones pillaged from the nearby circles on Borrowston Rig
It has some cup marks on it but these may be natural in origin (Source RCAHMS)
