Holy Well or Sacred Spring in Shropshire

Lady Well appears as a place name on the Ordnance Survey but other than that nothing is known about it. It survives as a brick culvert in the ditch next to the main road almost opposite Ladywell Farm. I was told that there used to be a well in the field at the edge of which the culvert can be found, but that nothing was visible now, and certainly the field is covered with long-overgrown rubble making locating any feature at surface level completely impossible.

I list this as 'access level 5' because you can indeed drive to it; but you could interpret it differently because in fact you have to crawl into the hedge to find it!
