Holy Well or Sacred Spring in Somerset

The Northern Antiquarian (TNA) page for Barrow Well, Compton Martin, Somerset, gives us the brief archaeology and history of this site, where "two springs mark the western edge of the parish boundary .... once being associated with a prehistoric tomb, or barrow, as the associated field-names of Barrows Orchard and Barrow Cross indicates."

TNA also gives us some interesting folklore and a ghost story associated with this site.
