From now until June 2017 they have a fine new display "Stone Age to Iron Age" which shows and explains many local archaeological finds from the region and southwest of England, presented in a well thought out manner. The famed Pool Farm Cist rock slab with carved feet, is not part of this display, but is available for viewing elsewhere.
There are also collections of archaeology, ethnography, Egyptology, geology and natural history, not to forget the various artwork including of course Bristol's very own Banksy.
