Evershot Stones
Evershot Stones submitted by enkidu41 : SY 576046 Probably the 'Three Dumb Sisters' of local tradition turned to stone for dancing on the Sabbath. The largest of the stones is 5' high. (Vote or comment on this photo)
3 stones, the largest 5' high, incorporated into a bench. These stones are probably the "Three Dumb Sisters" referred to in a field visit made in 1895.

The naming echoes the widespread practice throughout Britain of maidens or sisters turned to stone for dancing on the Sabbath.
