Tatham Enclosure submitted by LivingRocks : A possible candidate for the northern hut circle, these were very difficult to distinguish amongst the lush grass. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Ancient Village or Settlement in Lancashire

The roughly oval enclosure occupies an area 70m x 50m on a low hilltop and is divided into two parts by a stone & earth bank up to 2-3m wide and 1.4m high with a passageway between the two parts. Entrances are situated midway along the east side and on the west and southwest sides. The enclosure is surrounded on all sides except the south by a ditch 4-14m wide and 0.5m deep, on the south side defense is provided by a small stream. There are six hut circles located on the hillside below and outside the enclosure, two to the west, one to the north, and three to the east.
