Alveston Round Barrow
Alveston Round Barrow submitted by hamish : This stands in the middle of the field of flax. It is about 2 mtrs high. I am surprised it has survived. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Remains of a round barrow in the middle of a field beside the intriguingly named Vattingstone Lane, opposite the school entrance at the northwest of the village of Alveston.

This is a short walk from the school, climb the gate into the field. Find the tram lines in the crop and you are there.
