Apparently one of the stones has two lead spikes in it as it was removed to be re-used as a gatepost but so many accidents happened that the farmer returned it to the pile.

This circle has been destryoed with the stones all being pulled into a heap by the recumbent (which may still be in its original position). The stones have been fenced off so but within the fence the vegetation grows luxuriantly in the summer (especially the nettles) so it is best visited in the winter.
