Stone Circle in Lancashire Cocker Cobb circle was believed to exist approximately at this location but exact location unknown. The final remaining stone (there until sometime mid 20C) has been removed probably in the last 50 years.

[Thanks David. Grid ref now up-dated. Admin]. I have talked to Chris Aspin about this site and have the following comments:
"The road between Haslingden and Knuzden [Blackburn] may well have gone through the site. There was, maybe still is, a single thin stone on the upper side. On the other side, the field walls are cobs [local word for lumps, as in coal] unlike the usual stones in dry stone walls. These may have formed a circle. There are no obvious hollows in the field,, as at the 13 Stones circle."
I believe the current position is slightly out and the most likely position of this circle should be moved to 53.723968,-2.397743 (SD7385225360).

The single remaining stone is still there which is good.
