Holy Well / Spring in Somerset.
This well sits beneath a Gothic canopy beside the processional steps up to St John the Baptists Church. The gates of the steps, which can be seen in the right of the picture, were locked when we visited. It’s worth climbing up the steps to the right of the processional steps to look at the sculptured stations of the cross.

The well water flows from the mouth of a stone lions head into a basin and from there away in a gutter that runs down the middle of Cheap Street, which you can follow to the well.
