Holy Well or Sacred Spring in Staffordshire

The pathetic remains of The Giant's Well on the corner of Heather Drive and Stone Lane resemble a rusted iron urinal and ruined barbeque surround. In 2000 there were moves to have it renovated, but the effort and expense (something like £50,000) were deemed too excessive. The Giant's Well links in with the folklore of the nearby Rock Shelters, Kinver Edge, and the long destroyed Boltstone, which was lobbed by an enraged giant who noticed another flirtatious giant had visited his wife during the working day.
