Hanley Stone Circle
Hanley Stone Circle submitted by Sunny100 : Hanley Stone Circle on Quadrant Road. Another view of the modern-day circle. (Vote or comment on this photo)
This modern-day stone circle stands at the top of Quadrant Road in Hanley, just opposite St John's Church.

There are five stones, ranging between 2-7 feet in height and they are made of sandstone. This modern-day circle stands in a quiet little garden - a haven of peace from the hurly-burly of the city centre and somewhere to sit and meditate on the cares of the world, or rest your shopping on the way home!

These five stone monoliths look quite good at any angle. An excellent idea by the City Council - perhaps one of their better modern-art ideas to enhance the city of Stoke On Trent.

I've walked through this at least a thousand times and never clocked it or what it's about(I still haven't figured that out either) I started investigating stones recently. I feel it serves a purpose of healing(raising vibrations) for the people who walk through, stand and/or sit (unknowingly) . Beautiful. It was put in this place for a reason 💫✨🤍

Can't find 'Hanley Stone Circle' on the scroll-down index below the map for the appropriate area. Has it mysteriously dissapeared into the ether. I can only locate the page by putting in the os grid reference.

"a haven of peace from the hurly-burly of the city centre" - not sure if I agree with those sentiments - very noisy, fume choked spot next to the main arterial road in / out of the Potteries Shopping Centre car park!
