The Leper Well
The Leper Well submitted by TimPrevett : The Leper Well sits on the south side of Whitehouse Lane between Codsall and Codsall Wood, behind a wooden fence which prohibits access. A visit out of season may tell more of the location, with less obfuscating foliage. Two hawthorns are on the SE side of the well. (Vote or comment on this photo)

th leper well is definately there we were there recently it is not signposted or even marked but it is surrounded now by a wooden fence it is well preserved and has steps actually leading down into it.
if you pass leper house on your left keep going till you get to the first pull in (layby) or passing gap the well is almost immediately opposite by about ten yards.

Took a good look for this Tuesday evening. Had spoken with several locals who assured me "oh yes! the leper well" would be found - though I could find nothing. I suspect the towering hedgerows and prevailing cow parsley was hiding the well. Probably better to visit in low season. If heading west, I am told if you reach "Leper House), then you've gone too far.
