Cheshire's only surviving Beaker barrow located above the Macclesfield to Leek road at Oakgrove.

Woodhouse End submitted by vicky : The Beaker Barrow at Woodhouse End in Gawsworth near Macclesfield (the bump in the middle with the telegraph pole growing out of it!), used earlier this century as a dug out by the Home Guard. In prehistoric times it overlooked a lake, the site of which can be seen at the bottom of the photograph (1 comment)
