4clydesdale7 visited on 23rd Jun 2011 - their rating: Cond: 2 Amb: 3 Access: 4 North is a Long Barrow and South a Round Barrow according to most commentators - I am not sure I agree - perhaps N was a Long Barrow when it was whole but then S now still looks like a small Long Barrow rather than a Round one (but it is marked Tumulus on the OS Map) or was the RB built on the S end of the LB

Two ruined barrows, Camp Barrow North and Camp Barrow South lie at SO91380902 and SO91370908. The remains of a chambered tomb can be found at the southern end of the Northern Long Barrow. It is unclear whether the Southern Barrow was originally long or circular in shape. Early references suggest it may have had a horned forecourt to the north.
