Birdlip standing stones
Birdlip standing stones submitted by slynch : Number 2 in a series of unrecorded aligned standing stone on Birdlip Hill, Glos. I suspect to be a Victorian folly but have little evidence except one is in the back garden of a house and these two unrecorded ones are in a wood and long covered in overgrown ivy and one seems to have a flat area around it bordered with stones. A series of three standing stones. The largest is recorded and in a back garden. These two are unrecorded and have been hidden by ivy and deep woods on a steep incline. One has a small flat area around it with a low border of stones. I suspect they are a Victorian folly but that is a guess.
