Ancient spring in Gloucestershire's Golden Valley beside the lane at the bottom of the steep bluebell and wild garlic covered hillside to the north of the River Frome and the disused Thames and Severn Canal, below the village of Oakridge.

The well is just set back from the roadside, with a little plaque, and a notice board just over the road, stating that it has been used for human and animal consumption for all history, and has stories of healing properties.

This is a popular place for walking, and is part of the Wysis Way. While walking past, my friend bathed her knee in the water in the hope that it would ease the pain!
