We attempted to visit the site last weekend. There were signs on the path that presumably leads to the king's low warning against trespassing with CCTV. We drove down to the nearby farm to try and get permission but there wasn't anyone around to ask. I went and read the book about the excavations at the William Salt Library in Stafford. Really fascinating. It seems that both the Kings & Queens low have been badly damaged over the years, along with a stone cross that was placed on the king's low to commemorate an assassination in the 1400's. Plan on a trip up to the museum to look at some of the finds soon.

Kings Low and Queens Low Excavation Report launched. by bat400 on Saturday, 15 February 2014

This pair of neighbouring Bronze Age burial mounds, near Stafford, were being eroded by rabbits and agriculture before being excavated by Prof Gary Lock of Oxford Uni and the skilled workforce of Stoke on Trent Museum Archaeological Society.
Years of work have gone into compiling a thorough report on the excavation, which is now being published as an impressive and thoroughly illustrated softback, by Archaeopress.
The book was launched at the Learning Suite of the Potteries Museum, Hanley, 7.30 Friday 14th February 2014, where there were illustrated talks by the co-authors Prof Gary Lock and Winston Hollins. The talks covered the geographical and historical contexts of the sites, and the fascinating finds.
