Holy Well / Spring in Wiltshire

Certainly one of the best wells in the county of Wiltshire. The well house is built up against the small cliff from which the spring rises. It is a medium-sized building made from dressed stone with a pitched roof; a simple but imposing building. The water issues from the rock in the corner of the building and runs into a stone trough along one side of the building. A metal pipe takes the water out of the building and is the source of the small stream that runs away from the well house. The spring is never known to have failed.

We were unable to find anything on this map reference, but we did find a nice little well-tended spring at map ref. ST933536 (if we remember right), at the side of a little village green triangle.
