Round Barrow(s) in Gloucestershire

For most of modern time this site has proved to be something of an enigma - the experts just cannot agree whether it is one Bronze Age Round Barrow - or one encroached upon by either one or two others - not many claim to have visited the site so who should be believed - as you can see from my photographs I got up real close - my opinion (if worth anything at all as a mere enthusiastic amateur) is that it is a single Round Barrow damaged by later work (possibly shallow quarries or amateur excavation) - there is an awful lot of loose stone about - but it was excavated by Akerman and Chubb in 1856 and is the subject of conflicting entries on the pastscape website 212735 being the most accurate - it is 27m in diameter and 1m high -
