Little Wood submitted by rich32 : Little Wood, Threshfield, North Yorkshire SD9829064261 This settlement has 6 hut-circles set within it, 4 of which, are clustered together in the eastern half of the scheduled area. This circular structure is probably one of the other 2 hut-circles. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Ancient Village or Settlement in Yorkshire (North)

A lovely little settlement situated within Little Wood, Threshfield, North Yorkshire.

The scheduled area runs 320meters S to NW & 200 meters E to W.

The area of habitation lies to the east of the site, with evidence of at least six hut circles in situ, 4 of which are close together. The site also has an abundance of enclosure walling, to the west, much of it has been incorporated into natural limestone pavement. To the north of the site a distinct terrace has been built up & revetted with stone.
