Ancient Village or Settlement in Canary Isles

Ancient Canarian settlement, which is still being excavated. Unfortunately, most of the settlement has been built over by the city of Gáldar. The most remarkable part is the cave Cueva Pintada, which contains unique wall paintings. It is believed that these have an astronomical connection. Access via the Museo y Parque Arqueológico.

Cueva Pintada
Cueva Pintada submitted by Klingon : This structure has a diameter of several metres. Unfortunately, about half of it lies under a house and therefore a complete uncovering is not possible. (Vote or comment on this photo)
