Cairns and petroglyphs in Lyon County, Nevada.
Four cairns surrounding by petroglyphs. Located on a 34 meter high mound of basalt rock and rubble. Western Nevada. Unknown origin. Other petroglyphs in the area have been dated back to 4,000 BCE.

Pillars (Nevada) submitted by Viejo : View from the top of the mound towards the northwest. Petroglyphs in the area have been dated back to at least 4,000 BCE. Origin of the cairns is unknown but believed to be Native American. There are local legends in the area that tell of a tall, white skin, red-haired people that once lived near the mound.
