Anza Fertility Site
Anza Fertility Site submitted by StephaniePhelps : Ancient ceremonial fertility site, with yoni and phallic stone. This site does not have a name, I am calling it Dick & Jane. (Vote or comment on this photo)
This site is characterized by yoni formations and natural geological features having the appearance of male and female genitalia. A powerful ceremonial fertility site with yonis, phallic stone, and rock art.

There are heart-shaped rocks through the site that is eroding away with time. It is a very ancient site in plain sight but goes unnoticed with housing estates sadly closing in.

This ancient monolithic fertility site was surely an important ceremonial site. I first visited the site 20 years ago. When I walked the land back then, it had been sleeping but very much alive. At the site is a massive towering 30 ft phallic rock, topped with perfect detail as if carved to resemble male genitals. Next to the obelisk are two giant naturally placed stone slabs that come together, creating a triangular or "V" shape. This is a stunning and very potent entryway into the female yoni. Within this enclave, the natural stone structure, is a stone table, alter, or perhaps a birthing bed. There seems to be a deliberate attempt to enhance the site with heart carved stones. The heart shape has long been a symbol of the feminine.
You will find Cupels carved in two areas and rock art. I did wonder if the cupels could be star markers. I search the land many times before discovering a rock carved from what looks like the Archaic period. It lays about 500 yards south of the phallic standing stone. In my research, I was only to find one mention of this site in a paper written by, Gala Gough.
The paper makes slight mention of the fertility site and the pictographs on the Phallic rock, but in all my visits, I have yet to see any evidence of rock art on this stone. Over the years, the pictographs may have been obscured or hidden perhaps by natural erosion, buried, or faded beyond recognition.

I made another discover what I believe is lost to those who do not have the eyes to see, and that is a turtle carved in the stone wall near the entrance to the yoni, cave-like enclosure. You have to use your imagination, but when one takes in how old this site might be, it's not too much of a stretch.
I think of the Stones of Makawasi Peru when I view this Turtle and also what Dr. Schoch said about Makawasi in the following -
Dr. Robert M. Schoch examines the rocks and explains how nature and man may have collaborated to bring these amazing "sculptures" into existence. Dr. Schoch makes a surprising discovery that indicates the statues are thousands of years old.
"Markawasi as a whole, I believe, represents one of the quintessential high holy spots on Earth. There are many ways to describe it: in terms of a power point or power place, a center of power, Earth vortex, a chakra point of the living Gaia, or a congruence of planetary leys or ley lines. No matter what words are used in an attempt to express the nature of Markawasi, they will never do it full justice. The ineffable aspect of the plateau must be experienced." -Robert M. Schoch, Ph.D.

This site holds the same energy. It is also interesting to consider what the Turtle represents in relationship to a fertility site:
The markings and sections on some turtles total 13 in the lunar calendar; there are 13 full moons, or 13 new Moon alternating each year. Many believe this is where the association with female energies originated. Turtle is a symbol of the primal mother.
It is a spirit helper that will assist you in a profound study of ancient wisdom. Turtle will help you form true respect for the Earth Mother and a renewed appreciation of the feminine principle. According to some cultures, the top shell of a turtle is said to represent Heaven, while the bottom of the shell or underbelly is thought to represent Mother Earth. The Turtle unites Heaven and Earth.

What gets me most about this amazing site is it is in plain view, but no one notices. When I last visited the site, the stones had been graffiti, and the surrounding developments are encroaching, and soon this amazing landmark will be lost.
I have dozens of photos if anyone is interested. Stephanie Phelps
