The rock art in Hare Law Crags, 4m north of Hare Law Crags 1.2, includes a rare motif of rosettes (a cup-mark with a ring of smaller cup-marks and then grooved ring around it) and an occulus - two cups surrounded by two concentric ovals. Both the rosette and the occulus are rare variations of the cup and ring theme.
This panel is one of 4 in the same immediate vicinity, referred to as Hare Law Crags 1.3 in ERA-378 Hare Law Crags 1.3, which says: "This panel is 4 m north of Hare Law Crags 1.2, adjacent to quarried edge. One motif appears to have been a cup with two complete rings, part of which has been removed by quarrying." The ERA record also contains Beckensall's description, photographs, sketches of the rock and its motifs, plus photogrammetry, a VRML model and media from the Beckensall Archive.
SolarMegalith says: the panel can be divided into four parts, but all of them are part of the elongated crag, currently located in a forest clearance.
The original Beckensall record can be found at Internet Archive: Beckensall 14 Hare Law Crags 1, which covers what ERA records as Hare Laws 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4.
Access to this panel is 'Access by Right of Way'.
