There is no henge here. This entry relates to the menhir across the reservoir on the top (tall, painted white and modern - called the GIants Tooth). This menhir has a modern stone 'circle' around it. Very poorly constructed and of an uneven shape and size.
A nice place for a walk . . .

I can't work out if this is a genuine stone circle or not...

old photographs show the stones surrounded by grass, yet a recent visit sees the 'Giants Tooth' with a built up plinth and the circle has been paved(!)

The 'Giants Tooth' looks like it has lichen on it, but could be white paint if the other 'improvements' are anything to go by!

I haven't researched the alignments or anything, nor did I have any dowsing rods with me. Does anyone know if it has
energies?

I used to know a Pagan couple who said they came here at Sabbats for ritual, I don't know if the modified stones will have the same ambience.

I'll be very disappointed if this is a genuine circle and the people at Ogden Water have vandalised it!

Maybe I ought to pay a visit on a Sabbat and see if there's anyone there....

Re: The Giants Tooth by Anonymous on Monday, 17 October 2005
A few years ago, a family entertainment project was set off in the Ogden reservoir area. For that purpose, a number of spurious legends were concocted, including a totally ludicrous poem with minimal folkloric value about the Boggart's well, and this Giant's Tooth business. All it needs is for MegPort readers to take it all seriously and we have effective consumer antiquarianism!
