Finds include three pieces of worked flint, shards of a Bronze Age collared urn, two worked antler fragments, assorted animal remains including bear, reindeer, hare and cat, also a bone point maybe of Upper Palaeolithic date.
I stumbled upon this cave while hunting for dowel cave, the small gate came off in my hands ... (honestly) so we risked a little visit despite the warnings on the gate. Inside the cave is a sign pointing on into the cave towards the Staffordshire moorlands maybe five miles away, perhaps it links up with Dowel cave and a massive underworld as both seem to go on for ever.
