BrownEdger visited on 6th Jul 2013 - their rating: Cond: 2 Amb: 3 Access: 4 The field containing the site was full of cows. They seemed to have uncovered a patch of grass just below the barrow and broken the exposed stone. That may have been a remnant of the field wall.

Round Barrow(s) in Staffordshire

Much disturbed with a wall having been laid over it, and excavations by 19th century antiquarians, Lamber Low remains, however, prominent in the landscape with views in all directions including to Waterfall Low.

The excavations found a cist containing a contracted adult inhumation, with flint artefacts and the bone from the leg of a large dog.

Scheduled monument 13562.
